De GYROKINESIS® method
GYROKINESIS® exercise sequences are carefully composed of spiral and circular movements that flow seamlessly into rhythmic repetitions with associated breathing patterns. Each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a comfortable range of motion without stuttering, straining or compression. These carefully composed series provide better balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility.
GYROKINESIS® group lessons are performed on a mat and chair, without the use of specialized equipment. As a participant, you work on becoming aware of the body and exploring the movement sequences. The purpose of the lessons is to awaken the entire system and bring it into balance. During the lesson you focus on your breathing and you use different breathing patterns. This stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, leading to a feeling of calm, well-being and greater mental clarity.
While enjoying rhythmic and harmonious movement together with others in the group lessons, there is plenty of room for personal attention due to the small number of participants.
GYROKINESIS® lessons are offered as group lessons, but on request we can also give Gyrokinesis private lessons.
